MPLA Backgrounder

Motivated by a desire to establish a single platform for the Printers to share and care and espouse the common cause, a group of top notch printers of Chennai with a breadth of vision got together in 1952 and founded The Madras Printers’ & Lithographers’ Association (MPLA).

Over a period of time, MPLA not only enlarged its membership base but also brought into its fold manufacturers of printing and allied equipment. There was a manifold increase in the services rendered to the printing community besides serving as a representative body.

Within a short period after MPLA came into existence, it also felt the need for an apex institution which could guide and direct the activities of the regional associations spread across the country and established The All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) at Chennai then Madras in 1953 which now functions at New Delhi.

Fairs and Exhibitions play a significant role in bringing the state of art to the printers and also serve a meeting ground not only for the captains of the industry across the country but also delegations from abroad.

What they've said about us
But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain which toil and pain can.
